I am thinking of setting up a multisite as a real subdirectory and have followed these network instructions in full to the letter “T”. The multisite seems to be set up correctly, the .htaccess and wp-config.php data files seem to be correct, and I was in the network setup, but when I go to the multisite page, I get a 404 – not found error. My home page is still efficient and I can log into the admin page and in many cases access and manage the database with a plugin. To be honest, all the newly created tables are there, the multisite url and parameters look correct.
I checked my .htaccess file for any wrong matches in WordPress.I have verified that the corresponding .Location .of ..htaccess (public_html and even root) is writable
After tThrough careful research, I could not find a solution that would simplify this task.
